2021 Estate Chenin Blanc
Our 2021 Chenin Blanc was sourced from our Estate Riverview Vineyard, located on the southern end of the Wahluke Slope AVA. These young vines produce large clusters that are the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing acidity. The Chenin Blanc was hand harvested and gently whole cluster pressed. Fermented and aged in 100% stainless steel, at a constant 55 ° F to help retain the fresh fruit flavors and aromas.
Our 2020 Chenin Blanc was sourced from one of the oldest plantings in Washington State, Willard Vineyard, dating back to the late-1970's. These old vines are grown at 1200 feet above sea level, on the hillside just North of Prosser, WA. The vineyard is grown in well drained loamy fine sand that sits on weathered basalt bedrock.
The wine is bright yellow-green in color with aromas of fresh pear, lemon curd, and star fruit. On the palate, bright acidity is balanced with creamy flavors of pineapple, golden kiwi, and lime zest, finishing with hints of lanolin and beeswax.
