2023 Concentric Wine Project - Barbera
The Concentric Wine Project is an outlet for creative experimentation in the cellar. All winemaking is based around a goal of nothing added, nothing taken away, as close to naturally fermented grape juice as possible. Serious experiments. Fun wines.
Tasting notes
Bright red in color with aromas of red currants, raspberry, and an echo of buttery cracker leading to a balanced and unassuming acidic mouthfeel of thimble berries, lingonberries, and subtle mown hay.
Production notes
Whole cluster fermented in a Carbonic Maceration style in a 600Liter French oak puncheon. Designed to be light and fruity this wine was macerated with CO2 pressure combined with tumbling and not punched down like our bigger red wines. Native Yeast, Full MLF.
