Made from Lake Chelan fruit, perfect for sipping on Lake Chelan... or any body of water. Crisp, light, with a perfect summer zip. Only 40 cases produced.
This wine takes you to place where time slows, the air is warm, and a soft breeze rolls through. Sort of like the opening verses of Mr. Blue Sky by ELO. Google it, you know the song. Notes of lychee and white blossoms lead into lemon zest and apple, giving this wine plenty of zip while still carrying weight. Balanced and unassuming, but ready to bring the party. Like a summer Tuesday night when you say "yes" to that extra glass of wine.
Whole cluster pressed in our basket press, not a bladder press. yields were low, around 100 gallons per ton. Surprisingly little color pickup with pressing in the basket press. Wine was cold settled in a small stainless tank, then racked and inoculated. Picked on 10/1 and pressed on 10/2. fermenting over 21 days. Bottled in 4 months from end of ferment. Fermented and aged in 100% Stainless Steel.
